Guidelines and Policies


Hall Availability
The hall is available on a first come, first serve basis. A deposit is required to hold the facility. Your reservation is not secured until we have received your deposit.
Arrangements must be made in advance to have access to the room before or after your designated time. If you require additional time, rental charges will apply.

Payment
A $100.00 security deposit is required to confirm a date and time, after which a Rental Agreement will be issued to secure your reservation. Your reservation is not secured until we receive your security deposit and the Rental Agreement is signed. This deposit is not refundable should the event be cancelled unless we are able to rebook the banquet hall at an equal or greater value.
All charges will be on a cash, check, or credit-card basis. Total payment of the balance will be due 48 hours prior to the event. Any additional charges will be addressed at the end of the function. After the return of the keys and confirmation that no damage has been inflicted to the Snowden Banquet Hall upon the completion of your function, we will return your security deposit within seven (7) working days.

Cancellation
Security Deposits are non-refundable unless we are able to rebook the facility at an equal or greater value.

Security
Snowden Banquet Hall is unable to assume responsibility for the damage or loss of any merchandise or articles left on the premises before, during, or after your function. Please arrange to have all personal items removed upon the conclusion of your function. All embellishments left for forty eight (48) hours become property of the Snowden Banquet Hall.

A $50.00 charge will be applied if your function leaves behind a large amount of items that result in excessive clean-up for the Snowden Banquet Hall.

Liability
Groups and members of groups shall indemnify and hold Snowden Banquet Hall and its affiliates harmless from any and all claims, suits, losses, damages, and expenses on account of injury to any party in connection with the function. Groups and members of groups are responsible for any and all damage or destruction of any hall property by the group or member of the group on the hall’s premises. All damages will be charged to the Renter.

Outside Food and Beverage
You may bring your own food and beverages into the banquet hall. Alcoholic beverages may be brought on to Snowden Banquet Hall premises by the patron and the patron's guests. You may not sell alcoholic beverages on the premises as there is no liquer license for you to do so.
In accordance with Michigan State Laws, NO MINOR (UNDER THE AGE OF 21) SHALL BE SERVED ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE. In the event that minors will be in attendance at any function where alcohol is being served, the Snowden Banquet Hall shall hold the patron both responsible and liable for actions taken during said function.

Decorations
We ask that the existing decorations be kept in their place and that NO DECORATIONS BE AFFIXED TO ANY WALLS OR STRUCTURES without the expressed, specific approval of the banquet manager. Decorations are allowed on tables.
Absolutely NO pins, tacks, nails or tape are to be used at any time with out permission of the banquet manager. Any special room arrangements may be discussed in advance. A minimum $50.00 fee will apply should there be a failure of compliance with this policy.
You may use glitter (stars, hearts or any other form of), crepe paper and confetti inside the banquet hall. Please be sure to remove all during your clean-up to ensure full refund of deposit. A minimum $50.00 fee will apply if we have to clean up.

Excessive Clean up Policy
We ask that anything you bring in to the Snowden Banquet Hall, (decorations, trash, etc.) you also take with you. Should you or your guests leave an excessive amount of trash, decorations, etc. for our staff to clean up, we will charge your function an additional $50.00 minimum fee for the extra labor needed to clean the area.
The Snowden Banquet Hall reserves the right to decide on what is or is not considered “excessive clean-up.”

Entertainment
You may choose your own entertainment for your event. We ask that you keep sound at a respectable level and within the building at all times. If this factor becomes a problem at any time during your event and you are forced to end your function, full charges will still apply.

Young guests
High chairs for infants and small children are not provided by The Snowden Banquet Hall. "Booster” seats are not available or recommended for use due to the structure of our chairs. You will need to provide the proper seating for small children.
